Tell us about yourself "I am Zamani Hadebe, a self taught artist who uses the medium of acrylic and oil painting to express my inner self. The colour palatte and techniques I use evokes the innovative pop art of Andy Warhol and Nelson Makamo but mixed with abstractions of minimal propositions" What do you love most about being an artist? " What I love most about being an artist is that; I'm able to express myself without saying anything. I am not a person of many words so I use art to express myself" How would you describe your art? My focus on painting children is a reflection of my inner child. Children are innocent and generally happy, I strive to be positive and maintain a child-like inquisitiveness in every aspect of my life. This element also augurs well for my outlook on life and is good for my art as well" Where do you get your inspiration from? "I am inspired by Cromwell Ngobeni, Ennock Mlangeni and Nelson Makamo who also draw children for inspiration "
Aspirations for the future? " My biggest dream is to see my work on global stage". To learn more about Zamani and his work visit his Instagram page @zamany_grootboom.
