This month's category is design, an interesting read about a young self taught jewellery designer.

Relebohile Moloi is a 22 year old self taught jewellery designer, born & bred in Maseru, Lesotho. She is currently enrolled for Management, third year at CPUT in Cape Town, she started her jewellery business called Lebo Jewellery Studio last year which is a brilliant idea, she sells custom made necklaces, bracelets, and anklets using plated material but is looking to advance into real gold and sterling silver. Lebo started by doing beadwork when she was in high school which she used to sell at school & local markets in Maseru, her inspiration came from her aunt who used to do beadwork when she was younger, when that interest wore off she left a polystyrene takeaway box full of beadwork that Lebo used to admire until one day she started doing her own beadwork, showed it to people who liked it so she started selling it at school.

Her design inspirations come from her personal style, she creates pieces that she would definitely buy at another jewellery shop. She plays around with different ideas and sees what works "I literally sit at my table and start working on different designs, most of what I create is determined by the raw materials that I have". Her future plans regarding her business is growth beyond her wildest dreams, she wants to create a beautiful jewellery brand that will be her legacy.
