A style icon in the making.

Emerging creative, Mthandeni Silinga from East London, currently living in Cape Town is an inspiring upcoming fashion enthusiast and content creator. Her style is inspired by vintage with a twist of a retro cool chic. Fascinated by the 60s and 70s fashion, she thinks those two decades were the most iconic in the fashion industry and she draws alot of inspiration from that time, "I do a lot of research on retro looks and I always try to put together outfits, adding my own personal touch to them". The 20 year old who loves her Afro is always rocking her big hair to complement her outfits, adding to her style. "I can wear a simple outfit then with the big hair everything just comes alive! Not big on make up, Mthandeni loves to keep her look natural as possible, as her main focus is always on her outfits but whenever she puts make up on she loves a soft glam look with foundation, powder and lipgloss with a bit of highlighting. Her style is also influenced by some local and international style icons such as Shelly Mokoena, Naledi Radebe, Lulama Wolf, Tracee Ellis Ross, Ryan Destiny and last but not least Solange Knowles, I definitely see a style icon in the making in herself. The young fashion enthusiast aspires to leave a mark and create many elements that contribute to fashion, she believes that fashion is can be created in many different ways and she wants to keep on creating and building her own legacy in the world of fashion.
